During the inspection, officials reportedly found prepared gravies and other food items cooked one day earlier, two to three days earlier and even approximately a week earlier. The food had been stored in refrigerators or deep freezers and was allegedly reheated before being served.

Officials seized approximately 46 kg of stale food and destroyed it according to the prescribed procedure. A case was also registered against the food business operator under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the relevant rules.
