Air connectivity between Visakhapatnam and New Delhi has received a boost with Akasa Air launching daily direct flights between the two cities from October 25, 2026.
The new service adds another option for passengers travelling between Visakhapatnam and the national capital. The route is important for people travelling for business, education, tourism and government-related work, as well as for those visiting family and friends.
Daily Flight Schedule
According to published flight schedules, Akasa Air operates the following services on the route:
-
Delhi to Visakhapatnam: Flight QP 1841, departing at 5:55 AM and arriving at 8:20 AM.
-
Visakhapatnam to Delhi: Flight QP 1842, departing at 9:05 AM and arriving at 11:30 AM.
The timings are local to the respective airports. Passengers should confirm their flight details with the airline before travelling, as schedules may change.
The launch makes Akasa Air the third airline operating direct flights on the Delhi–Visakhapatnam route. The additional service is expected to expand seat availability, offer passengers more scheduling choices and potentially encourage competitive fares.
Delhi remains an important destination for business, government-related travel, education, tourism and visits to family and friends. The new daily connection is expected to make travel between the national capital and Visakhapatnam more convenient.
Kanwarbir Singh Kalra, CEO of GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited, described the new service as an important milestone in strengthening air connectivity between the two cities.
