Bheemili MLA Helps Bring Father Back to Vizag After Son Drowns



The father of 14-year-old Suryaprakash, one of the students swept away by strong waves near Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam, was working in the UAE when the tragedy occurred.

According to reports, Bhaskar Rao had travelled abroad for work and was unable to immediately return to India. Following the incident, the family sought government assistance so that he could return and be with his family during the difficult situation. ABP Desam

Three Class IX students — P. Prashanth, S. Suryaprakash and S. Nilesh — were swept into the sea on October 2 after a sudden wave hit the group near the Madhurawada IT SEZ coast. Their bodies were subsequently recovered during the search operation. The New Indian Express

Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao spoke to the Andhra Pradesh government’s Special Officer in Delhi and sought steps to expedite the father’s return. Officials were also coordinating with the Indian Embassy regarding the travel arrangements.
