GMR Aero has expanded its travel-retail operations with the launch of Vizag Duty Free at Visakhapatnam International Airport.

The new duty-free outlet is present in both the arrivals and departures areas.

Its design follows the theme “Where Coastal Heritage Meets Global Discoveries.”

The interiors draw inspiration from Andhra Pradesh’s cultural identity, including Kalamkari art and coastal textures.

The product range combines international brands with locally sourced and regional products.

Travellers can find products such as Araku Coffee, Etikoppaka toy art and Kondapalli handicrafts.

The initiative aims to make airport shopping part of the overall passenger experience.

Alongside the Vizag launch, GMR Aero has revamped its departures duty-free store at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

The Hyderabad outlet features design elements inspired by the heritage of Hyderabad and Telangana.

Its expanded offering includes perfumes and cosmetics, exclusive launches and Indian products.

GMR Aero said the expansion reflects its focus on destination-led retail experiences across its airport network. 

The Vizag launch adds another premium retail offering to the newly operational airport.
