Sribharat, has approached the Union Minister of Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, advocating for the establishment of a National Centre of Excellence in Vizag. Additionally, there's a proposal for a multipurpose indoor hall under the Khelo India scheme, aiming to bolster the city's sports infrastructure .​

 

In a significant move for badminton enthusiasts, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is setting up the PV Sindhu Center for Badminton and Sports Excellence in Visakhapatnam. The academy aims to nurture budding talent and elevate the sport's profile in the region .​
