Visakhapatnam is gearing up for another major leap in tourism as the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has proposed an exciting new project — a ropeway and luge gravity ride that will span 1.5 kilometers from Tenneti Park to the Telugu Samskruthika Niketanam near Kailasagiri.

This proposed ropeway will offer locals and tourists a spectacular aerial view of Vizag's breathtaking coastline, covering iconic locations like RK Beach, Kailasagiri Hill, and Tenneti Park. With cabins soaring above lush greenery and scenic roads, the ride promises to be both thrilling and picturesque.

In addition to the ropeway, the proposal also includes a luge gravity ride, which would be the first-of-its-kind in Andhra Pradesh. This adventure-based attraction is expected to boost local tourism, create employment, and contribute to Vizag’s vision of becoming a modern, vibrant coastal city.

 

The project is currently under review and is seen as part of a broader effort by VMRDA to transform Vizag into a premium tourism and recreation hub.
