9-Year-Old Girl Rescued from Sea at RK Beach



A family from Sabbavaram in Anakapalli district visited Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam on August 11.

The family members went to the beach for a visit and entered the sea for bathing.

At around 11:30 AM, a 9-year-old girl was swept towards the sea by strong waves.

The girl was identified as T. Harshitha, who was visiting the beach with her family.

PC 3414 A. Srinu, who was performing beat duty at Ramakrishna Beach, immediately noticed the situation.

He promptly entered the sea and rescued the girl from the strong waves.

His quick response and presence of mind helped bring the child safely back to the shore.

The girl was subsequently given necessary safety instructions and counselling.

Police officials ensured that she was safe and had no immediate danger before handing her over to her parents.

The incident highlights the importance of police personnel maintaining vigilance at busy beach areas.

PC Srinu’s timely intervention prevented what could have been a serious incident.

His prompt action reflects a strong sense of responsibility and dedication towards public safety.
