Balwaan Krishi Expands South India Operations with New Hub in Visakhapatnam

Balwaan Krishi, one of India's emerging agritech and farm equipment companies, has expanded its footprint in South India by launching a new logistics and distribution hub in Visakhapatnam, alongside another facility in Chennai. The expansion is part of the company's strategy to strengthen farm mechanisation and improve access to agricultural equipment for farmers across Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring states.

The Visakhapatnam hub will serve as a key distribution centre for Andhra Pradesh, supporting a network of 59 dealer partners across the state. By bringing inventory closer to farmers, the company aims to reduce delivery timelines, improve after-sales service, and ensure quicker access to essential farm machinery during critical agricultural seasons.

According to the company, Andhra Pradesh's diverse cropping patterns create strong demand for equipment such as power tillers, power weeders, battery-operated sprayers, and harvesters. The expansion also includes plans for farmer demonstrations, dealer development programmes, and partnerships with government initiatives to encourage greater adoption of farm mechanisation.

Balwaan Krishi stated that the new hub is expected to generate direct and indirect employment in logistics, warehousing, and field support while strengthening the agricultural supply chain in the region. Officials believe the investment will help improve productivity for small and marginal farmers and reinforce the company's long-term commitment to South India's agricultural sector.
