Comic Con India is set to make its first appearance in Visakhapatnam on October 10 and 11, 2026. The two-day event will be held at the Kalam Convention Centre in Vizag. The Visakhapatnam edition will also mark the beginning of Comic Con India’s 2026–27 season. The event is expected to bring together comic-book fans, anime enthusiasts, gamers, cosplayers and other pop-culture communities. Visitors can look forward to celebrity and international guest sessions, interactive panels and cosplay showcases. Live music, stand-up comedy, exclusive merchandise and immersive fan zones are also planned. The organisers are expanding the festival beyond traditional metropolitan cities to reach growing fandom communities in tier-two cities. Visakhapatnam was selected as the opening city because of its growing anime, cosplay and student communities. The event will also provide a platform for local pop-culture interests alongside newer forms of entertainment. The previous Comic Con India season travelled across 11 cities and attracted more than 3.5 lakh attendees. The Vizag debut is expected to bring a major pop-culture gathering to Andhra Pradesh for the first time.
