The Andhra Pradesh government is set to allot 52 A4 liquor shop licences in Visakhapatnam as part of the State’s 2026–27 excise arrangements. The Visakhapatnam allocation is part of a wider process covering 807 liquor shops across Andhra Pradesh.

According to the reported district-wise allocation, Visakhapatnam has been assigned 52 shops. Other districts in the region include Anakapalli with 39 shops, Vizianagaram with 30, Srikakulam with 39, Parvathipuram Manyam with 9 and Alluri Sitharama Raju district with 3.

The Excise Department has advised applicants to check their respective district gazette notifications for details such as the individual shop locations, eligibility criteria, application procedure, fees, required documents and deadlines before applying.

 

The latest allocation follows the State’s revised excise arrangements for retail liquor shops. The Andhra Pradesh government had earlier extended the A4 liquor shop renewal deadline by two days, with the 2026–27 process involving thousands of outlets across the State.
