GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg is scheduled to participate in the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme at Gajuwaka on Monday.
The programme will provide residents with an opportunity to directly submit petitions concerning civic and municipal issues.
Citizens can raise grievances related to services and issues handled by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.
The GVMC chief's participation is aimed at bringing the grievance redressal process closer to residents at the zonal level.
Gajuwaka is among the major GVMC zones in Visakhapatnam and handles a wide range of civic requirements.
The Commissioner has been taking part in field-level inspections and reviews of civic services across the city.
Recent inspections have focused on sanitation, road and drain cleanliness, street lighting and drinking water supply.
The zone-level PGRS initiative is intended to enable officials to understand public grievances directly.
The Commissioner has previously announced plans to personally conduct PGRS programmes in different GVMC zones on Mondays.
Residents can use the programme to bring unresolved civic concerns to the attention of the concerned departments.
Petitions received during the programme are expected to be forwarded to the relevant departments for examination and action.
The initiative is part of GVMC's broader effort to improve direct interaction between civic authorities and residents.
