Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), based in Visakhapatnam, has proposed establishing a Greenfield Shipyard in Andhra Pradesh as part of its long-term expansion strategy. The proposed facility is intended to increase domestic shipbuilding capacity and cater to the growing demand for both defence and commercial vessels. The project is expected to complement HSL's existing operations while supporting the Government of India's vision of strengthening the maritime industry.
