In a welcome development for travelers and traders alike, a new flight service connecting Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar has been announced. The initiative has been made possible through the efforts of Shri K. Haribabu Garu, former MP of Visakhapatnam and current Governor of Odisha, who played a pivotal role in facilitating the launch of this crucial air route.

Using his good offices, Shri Haribabu Garu successfully coordinated with Indigo Airlines and the Chief Minister of Odisha to bring this much-needed connectivity to life. The new route is expected to significantly boost tourism and trade between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, two states with rich cultural ties and economic potential.

APATA (Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association) extends heartfelt thanks to Shri Haribabu Garu for championing this initiative. Notably, this flight service comes in response to an earlier request made by APATA, following which Shri Haribabu had formally written to the concerned authorities advocating for the route.

Leaders of APATA, including O. Naresh Kumar, K. Kumar Raja, and D.S. Varma, expressed their gratitude and optimism that this air link will strengthen regional connectivity, ease travel, and pave the way for future cooperation between the neighboring states.
