Digital railway services are gaining traction, with the RailOne mobile application recording more than 13.76 lakh ticket bookings in four months across the Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal divisions of South Coast Railway.
According to a report published by Deccan Chronicle on October 13, 2026, the bookings made between June 1 and September 30 covered approximately 70.30 lakh passengers and generated nearly ₹14.70 crore in revenue. The figures were shared by railway officials as they encouraged passengers to make greater use of digital ticketing facilities.
The RailOne app brings several Indian Railways services together on one platform. Passengers can book reserved and unreserved tickets, purchase platform tickets, check train schedules and Passenger Name Record (PNR) status, and access RailMadad for railway-related complaints and assistance.
Its single sign-on (SSO) facility allows users to access multiple services through one login, reducing the need to install separate railway applications or remember different passwords. Mobile ticketing can also help passengers avoid queues at booking counters, particularly during busy travel periods and festivals.
South Coast Railway has appealed to passengers to use the app to make their journeys more convenient and improve access to railway services. The latest figures highlight the growing use of digital ticketing across the four divisions.
