SARAS has returned to Vizag after a three-year absence

Covid has put a halt to many activities around the world. Fairs and exhibitions fall under this category. The SARAS fair, which is held at the Andhra University grounds in Visakhapatnam every year and attracts huge crowds from all parts of the city, did not return to Vizag for three years.

The Sale of Articles of Rural Artisans Society (SARAS) is now getting back in Vizag after 3 years. The SARAS fair will be held in Visakhapatnam for a period of 12 days, from December 27 to January 7, in which rural artisans from 20 states are set to participate. This fair will consist of food, adventure, and shopping zones all located in one place and serving all age groups.

The Visakhapatnam District Joint Collector conducted a preparatory meeting regarding the arrangements made. The GVMC officials were asked to take care of the sanitation, cleanliness, and mobile toilets at the venue, and the City Traffic Police were ordered to make arrangements for parking and traffic management to control the heavy inflow of visitors.
