Waltair Division has decided to launch intensive drives against subletting of Railway Quarters, and other illegal activities related to unauthorized occupation, tress passing, and encroachments etc. The Division is also conducting raids against illegal occupation of Non-Commercial plots of Railways in various localities over its territory.

Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair Shri Anup Satpathy issued directives to take stringent action against such employees involved in subletting / unauthorized occupation of railway quarters with immediate effect.

Through several surprise checks, crackdowns and inspections, such activities are getting detected. Now, administration has decided to take strict and legal action against the Railway employees as well as the unauthorized occupants of Non-Commercial plots. 

The following action plan has been initiated against such activities:

1.Surprise checks by the RPF, Engineering and Personnel departments
2.Frequent inspections by the Officials of various departments at the colonies
3.Stringent action against the accused as per the extant laws.
4.Legal action will be initiated against the tenants also
5.Initiation of legal action against the encroachment of NC plots

Speaking on the occasion DRM, Shri Anup Satpathy said that “this is an ailment and it should be cured at the earliest. Because of this, other employees, who are actually needy, are deprived of quarters.  Intensified checks and surprise inspections will continue”
