A case has been registered against singer Rahul Sipligunj and several others in Visakhapatnam.

The case follows a complaint submitted by a woman to the police.

According to the complaint, Rahul Sipligunj’s brother-in-law, Karpurapu Rahul Reddy, allegedly cheated her after promising to marry her.

She has also alleged that he threatened and blackmailed her using personal photographs and videos.

The woman further alleged that Rahul Sipligunj threatened her and pressured her to give video statements.

The case was initially registered at MVP Police Station in Visakhapatnam.

It was subsequently transferred to the Endada Women Police Station for further investigation.

Reports from other Telugu media outlets say several other individuals have also been named in the case. 

Police are currently examining the allegations and circumstances surrounding the complaint.

The allegations have not been established in court, and being named in an FIR does not by itself establish guilt.

Rahul Sipligunj and his family have not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
