TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Rushikonda likely to be inaugurated by the end of March
The temple was built by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) in an area of 10 acres atop a hill, near Rushikonda. It is likely to be inaugurated by March-end. It is also known that this decision is said to have been taken during CM’s visit to Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham recently.
TTD’s Venkateswara Swamy temple in Rushikonda was originally scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister on 13th August, 2021. The delay in inauguration even after the completion of the temple construction have drawn criticism from public and opposition parties.
Spiritual leaders expressed that it was wrong to leave the idol without dhoopa, deepa, naivedyam after the completion of temple construction.
Earlier, it was announced that special pujas like ‘maha samprokshanam’ would be performed at the temple complex from August 8th to 13th by Tirumala priests and the temple would be open to public for darshan from August 13th.
An estimated cost if Rs. 28 crores was spent on the temple, which was located near GVP College at Rushikonda. There will be a breathtaking view of the sea from the hilltop.
Even though Chief Minister came to the city in various occasions, he didn’t inaugurate the temple yet. Now, the temple is expected to be inaugurated by CM in March, according to Tourism Minister, M Srinivasa Rao.
It is also known that the steps to climb the hill top for the convenience of the devotees are completed, and the road, lawns to reach the staff quarters are also completed. The temple construction is completely done.
