Visakhapatnam Traffic Police personnel used a speed detection camera to monitor vehicle speeds along BRTS Road on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The activity was photographed by IANS and reported by Social News XYZ. 

The monitoring forms part of wider traffic-enforcement measures in Visakhapatnam aimed at identifying speeding and other violations. Earlier this year, the traffic police announced the deployment of special monitoring teams equipped with speed-detection devices.

 

Police have also introduced specified speed limits on several major roads and planned the use of advanced laser speed guns and upgraded CCTV surveillance to improve enforcement.
