The TTD Kalyana Mandapam in MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam, is set to undergo a state-of-the-art redevelopment. Visakhapatnam District Collector and GVMC Special Officer M. Abhishikth Kishore inspected the premises along with GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg. The inspection covered the existing mandapam, its office building and vacant sites near the TTD Kalyana Mandapam junction. Officials examined the extent and present use of the buildings and available land. The Collector directed officials to prepare an action plan for redevelopment with modern facilities. The proposed redevelopment will take into account the future requirements of the area and users of the facility. A comprehensive survey of the mandapam, adjoining buildings and vacant sites has also been ordered. Seethammadhara Tahsildar Prasad, TTD Manager Venkataramana and East Zone Commissioner K. Sivaprasad were asked to submit a detailed report. GVMC officials from the town planning, health and revenue departments also participated in the inspection. The redevelopment is expected to improve the overall functionality and facilities available at the TTD premises. The move is part of broader efforts to improve public and community infrastructure in Visakhapatnam. Further details about the design, facilities and implementation timeline are expected after the survey and preparation of the action plan.
