An International Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet concluded in Visakhapatnam with 88 Memoranda of Understanding signed between participating MSMEs and overseas buyers. The three-day event was held from August 19 to 21 under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme. More than 40 buyers from 25 countries participated in the programme along with over 250 MSMEs from Andhra Pradesh. The event provided a platform for structured one-to-one business meetings between local enterprises and international buyers. Participating businesses represented sectors including processed foods, spices, rice, marine products, textiles, chemicals and engineering products. Overseas buyers appreciated the range and quality of products showcased by Andhra Pradesh enterprises. MSMEs also received direct feedback on international requirements related to pricing, quality, certification, packaging and delivery. Several business discussions are reportedly at advanced stages and could lead to export orders after further product evaluation and commercial follow-up. The initiative is aimed at improving the export readiness and competitiveness of MSMEs in the State. It also provides smaller businesses with direct access to international markets and potential long-term sourcing partnerships. The successful event strengthens Visakhapatnam’s position as a platform for international trade and business engagement. The initiative is expected to contribute to stronger global market linkages and increased export opportunities for Andhra Pradesh MSMEs.
