Andhra University to Recruit 528 Faculty Posts
Visakhapatnam, India: In a significant development, Andhra University is set to bolster its academic ranks by recruiting 528 faculty members across various departments, announced the university's Vice Chancellor, PVGD Prasad Reddy.
Addressing the media in Visakhapatnam on Monday, Vice Chancellor Prasad Reddy highlighted that faculty recruitment at the university had remained stagnant since 1993.
He underscored the critical need for additional teaching staff, given that the university currently operates with a mere 190 faculty members. The infusion of 528 new teaching positions is expected to significantly elevate the quality of education at Andhra University.
Prof. Prasad Reddy disclosed that the official notification for these faculty positions will be released within a week. The recruitment process will include interviews, with candidates being shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio.
This move is poised to rejuvenate and fortify Andhra University's academic environment, ensuring a brighter and more promising future for both students and the institution itself.
