Class 10 exam centers 'No Cell Phone Zones'
To put an end to the Class 10 question paper leaks that have been reported for the past few days, officials of the Education department have taken up strict measures and issued new guidelines. The department has issued orders that examination centres will be “No Cell Phone Zone”. Even the Chief Superintendent cannot use the cell phone. Apart from cell phones, any other electronic gadgets within the examination centre premises would be seized, warned the authorities.
The authorities made it clear that smartwatches, earphones, iPods and other gadgets will not be allowed inside the exam centre. It is further instructed that the invigilators should ensure that the centre number and roll number shall be on the question paper. Soon after giving the question paper to the candidates, the invigilators should make the candidates write the centre number and roll number on the question paper.
The department also informed that stern action will be taken against those who indulge in malpractice. Meanwhile, the State government has taken the issue of malpractice in the Class 10 exams seriously. The government has initiated action against teachers found guilty of malpractice. The government has suspended 30 teachers in this regard. Authorities arrested a total of 44 people in connection with the malpractice. The government is also preparing to take serious action against teachers who are involved in malpractice.
