DPRs ready for proposed flyovers in Vizag

The detailed project reports for the 4 proposed flyovers in Visakhapatnam are ready, but reportedly the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is awaiting the approval from the authorities of Metro Rail Project for their synchronization plan.
The detailed project reports were ready last year itself. However technical experts in GVMC suggested consultations for the merger plans with the metro rail project.
There are 4 flyovers proposed to be built in Vizag. The flyovers with multi-level grade separators would come up at Gajuwaka, Satyam Junction, Hanumanthwaka Junction and Car shed Junction connecting Kommadi Junction.
The total cost estimated for building the four flyovers is around Rs. 1200 crores. GVMC tried to raise resources from various domestic and international agencies which was unsuccessful.
