A drug abuse awareness rally was organised in Visakhapatnam to observe the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, bringing together government officials, students, educational institutions, and members of the public to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction. The rally was aimed at encouraging people, particularly young individuals, to stay away from narcotic substances and adopt healthy lifestyles.

 

Participants carried placards and raised awareness slogans promoting a drug-free society. The rally emphasised the importance of educating young people about the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse while encouraging greater community involvement in preventing drug addiction.
