Visakhapatnam: A heart-wrenching video of an elderly woman being transported to a hospital in a large aluminum vessel has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place in the Pedabayalu mandal of ASR district amid severe weather conditions a few days ago.

Due to recent heavy rains, the Gunjiwada stream overflowed, cutting off the village from the mainland. When the elderly woman fell ill, her health rapidly deteriorated, and traditional routes to medical facilities were inaccessible.

In a desperate bid to save her, a tribal man named Satya Rao placed her in a large cooking vessel and navigated the swollen stream to reach the hospital.

This incident has brought to light the dire situation faced by residents of 15 villages in the area, who risk their lives to cross the stream during the rainy season due to the lack of proper infrastructure.

A local villager highlighted the persistent danger and the urgent need for improved connectivity to ensure safe and reliable access to medical services for all residents.
