Gujarat Titans won the IPL Title 2022 at their home ground

Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets and won the title in their debut season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The grand finale started with the closing ceremony featuring Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and iconic singer AR Rahman. The IPL also entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest cricket jersey in the world.

Sensational win for the Debut team Gujarat Titans. They dominated every team in the league stage, defeated Rajasthan Royals twice in the playoffs, and lifted the 15th season of the Indian Premier League title. Hardik Pandya appeared as the most composed player. He had an incredible season as a captain, leading the Titans wonderfully, especially in the crucial final match. He put an all-around performance, setting it up with the ball and guiding them out of a challenging period in the chase.

Bowling first, Gujarat Titans well restricted the Rajasthan Royals for 130. RR players lost the wickets early and seemed pressured to set a high target for the Gujarat Titans. Yashawi Jaiswal (22) and Jos Buttler ( 39) were the highest scores for the Rajasthan Royals. Hardik Pandya, R Ravi Kishore, and Rashid Khan collected wickets for their team.

GT Hardik Pandya produced a brilliant all-round performance as he picked up three wickets and scored 34 runs. Chasing a modest 131 for victory in their debut season, Gujarat did well on their 63-run third-wicket partnership between Shubman Gill, who made 45 not out, and Pandya to achieve their target with 11 balls to spare in Ahmedabad. Gill and David Miller ensured the debutants got past the finish line.

Before that, Pandya took three wickets to restrict Rajasthan Royals to a modest 130/9 in 20 overs. The Gujarat Titans skipper returned 3/17 in his four overs as Rajasthan kept losing wickets at regular intervals after electing to bat first. R Sai Kishore also added two wickets under his belt.
