IATO Annual Convention 2026 to Be Held in Vizag

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) is set to host its 41st Annual Convention in Visakhapatnam.

The four-day event will take place from September 10 to 13, 2026.

Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach will serve as the main venue for the convention.

The theme of this year’s convention is “India: The World’s Next Tourism Opportunity.”

Around 900–1,000 delegates are expected to attend, including tour operators, travel professionals, hospitality representatives, policymakers and government officials.

The convention will feature business sessions, state tourism presentations and networking opportunities.

An Indian Tourism Fair and Travel Mart will also be organised on September 11 and 12.

The event will include the IATO Run for Responsible Tourism, cultural programmes and an awards ceremony.

The convention is being organised with the support of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

It will provide an opportunity to showcase the State’s beaches, cultural heritage, Buddhist sites, eco-tourism destinations and other attractions to the travel trade.

Post-convention tours have also been planned to destinations including Araku Valley, Borra Caves and other locations across Andhra Pradesh.

The event is expected to strengthen tourism networking and promote Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh as major tourism destinations.
