In COVID-recovered patients, paralysis and heart attacks are on the rise



At the moment, the COVID pandemic seems to have ended. It is undoubtedly good news, but what requires immediate attention is the rise in strokes and heart attacks among COVID-recovered people.

 


According to some studies, the risk of cardiovascular problems such as heart attack and stroke remains high even after months of recovery from COVID-19. 

Researchers discovered that people admitted to intensive care due to COVID are at a higher risk. Even people who were not hospitalized for COVID had a higher risk than their uninfected peers. Neurological complications are on the rise. Facial nerve disorders, also known as facial nerve paralysis, have been on the rising trend. Mucormycosis, a rare fungal infection, has also been widely reported after Covid.
