They inspected the planned venue—a 26.5 km stretch from RK Beach’s Kalimata Temple to Bheemili, featuring 127 compartments designed to accommodate around 500,000 participants, each equipped with water, medical support, and volunteers.
Authorities have mobilized extensive logistics: 8,000 police officers, lifeguards for coastal safety, surveillance cameras, and transportation coordination through buses and the South Coast Railway zone. Contingency planning is in place too, with Andhra University grounds ready as an alternate venue in the event of inclement weather .
Under the “Yogandhra 2025” campaign, a month-long series of initiatives across Andhra Pradesh has been underway—including public demos at beaches, historical sites, and even prisons—to raise awareness and build momentum.
High-profile attendees expected include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Governor Sayed Abdul Nazeer, and Deputy CM Pavan Kalyan. Officials are hopeful that the massive turnout and disciplined coordination will position Visakhapatnam as a global yoga hub.
