Here she found new horizons to explore and developed an enduring interest in Vizag’s fascinating heritage. She regularly leads groups of heritage enthusiasts to explore Vizag’s ancient past. Earlier in a quest to improve primary education of Adivasi children she travelled extensively in the Agency areas of Vizag.

In the process, she acquired an interest in understanding the arts, customs and traditions of the Adivasis in the district. She has travelled to 36 countries on work, business and leisure travel. Jayshree is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. She has deep family roots in Vizag and a passion to place our city on the world heritage map.

Profession:
Heritage Narrator & Tribal Community Facilitator

Hobbies and Interests:
Singing loudly while driving creating new games, activates for playing with tribal school children. Every new activity they learn while having great fun & teaches me how to be creative on an ongoing basis. Both these activities thrill me and give that personal high.

Education:
Did schooling in 9 different school being a Naval Officers daughter, I always stood out in school academics

Early days of career:
Retail Business 1986-2002 called 'Reach Marketing Services' which was Sales Promotion, Marketing, Sales extension for banking financial products and consumer durables. It was rated as one of a kind curated retail services at Chennai with marketing activities extended to other metros.

Key to success:
Understanding people, tapping talent, pursuing passion with enthusiasm with single mission to succeed every step of the way.

Inspiration:
‘Who' seems extremely narrow...more like what, when, where...followed by who. So many aspects of life inspires me and lets me learn from those moments

Initial days of work experience: For her it is/was always fresh interesting then & now...she refers to her initial days as "those were the days" and now "these are her days" Every day is just MAN (morning, afternoon, night)

Struggles:
Challenges are of two types: predictable & unpredictable. The predictable challenges need to be understood, planned, mitigated & handled. The predicted failures become our real personal lessons, from where we learn about our capacity, ability to handle crisis determines our character. A retail training business had loads of very interesting predictable challenges which are to be dealt with strength and empathy with all communities creatively.

Thoughts on Women’s Life:
Women are flagbearers of life. Every woman must find her place, passion and purpose as we move every generation forward!

Advice to women:
Same as my quote....
Crimes against women have increased in the recent times. What would you say about that?
Easy answer would wipe all the MEN out.... jokes aside, frankly crime is happening to women from both the genders. It’s a topic that warrants deep understanding, concern, empathy discussion.

After years of education to both genders and still in 2022 we see increased crime, that means something more than education, understanding and awareness needs to be introduced within society to cut decrease crime towards women.

Favourite Book:
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger & The Power on Now by Eckhart Tolle

Where do you aim to see yourself in the next five years?
At 69 yrs... My life has gifted me with loads of great experiences both (+) & (-) ...as a daughter, sister, wife, mom, boss, employer, trainer and now a grandma. In the next five years its just a few more strong steps moving forward with Vizag citizen heritage conservation concerns & empowering the tribal students in schools and community in their livelihood creative

What are your thoughts about feminism?
Every human should not have gender specific discrimination. Abilities are person related not entirely gender related. there should be zero negative gender bias in society...the very existence of feminism is to eradicate inequality.
