Dr Yarlagadda Geetha Srikanth is an entrepreneur and a social activist. She is running business in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Vizag. Her firms are providing employments to around 400 people and indirectly supporting their families.
Geetha works on women empowerment and girl child development. She is an active member of FIWE, COWE, AP Chamber OF Commerce, JCI -SMA, and Rotary Club.
Geetha Srikanth did her PhD on problems and prospects of tribal women. And is now supporting many tribal women in marketing their products. She and her husband reside in a small apartment, instead of living in a mansion. Their motto is to give more employment opportunities than to build a mansion.

Schooling from AP Residential School, Bheemili, Intermediate from Vignan Junior College Guntur, Bachelor in Arts from public administration from Andhra University, MHRM, and PHD from GITAM.
Achievements during early days of career:
Best Outgoing Student in 10th Standard, gold medal in MHRM, and Priyadarshini national award from Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs (FIWE) in 2012. Received National Award from JCI for outstanding national project and Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs for two consecutive years. Apart from this, received six silver medals and two gold medals for service through Redcross society.
Key to success:
Hard work, commitment, and dedication. Treating all my employees like my family and doing teamwork.
Inspiration:
My mother and mother in law are my inspiration they worked hard to establish a family business during the days when very few women used to do Business. My mother was one of the first lady industrialists in Vizag.
Initial days of work experience:
Initially, the workforce didn't accept a lady boss, like me. But slowly by frequent interaction and gained their support.
Struggles:
As an entrepreneur faced so many financial struggles during COVID 19, but never stopped the functioning of the industry. I have undergone spine surgery 8 yrs back, with the willpower gained back my health. Learnt Jalayoga, and can float in water for many hours.
Thoughts on Women’s Life:
Women are the most creative creatures created by the creator with multi-tasking abilities and possess the utmost strength to take care of family, themselves, and society.
Advice to women:
I say each and every woman should be strong enough to fight the battle called life by themself. No one is going to come and rescue you.
Crimes against women have increased in recent times. What would you say about that?
Uncontrolled access to the internet is creating psychological provocation that is creating harm to girls. All girls should learn self-defence techniques and should be careful on social media.

What are your thoughts about feminism?
I am pro-feminist but to some extent. I am in this position because of my father, Father in law and my husband. Women should respect men as most of the women are being supported by men to achieve their dreams.
