Massive Turnout as Over 2.65 Lakh Enlist for 'Aadudam Andhra' in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli Districts



In a grand launch ceremony at Zilla Parishad High School in Chandrampalem, Bheemunipatnam MLA M Srinivasa Rao inaugurated 'Aadudam Andhra.'

The distinguished event was graced by the presence of District Collector A. Mallikarjuna, MLC Varudu Kalyani, and GVMC Commissioner C.M. Saikanth Varma.

Emphasizing the objective of the sports initiative, Mr. Rao highlighted that 'Aadudam Andhra' aims to unearth talent at the grassroots level, provide training and support, and eventually propel participants to State, national, and international sporting platforms.

He underlined the YSR Congress Party's (YSRCP) longstanding commitment to prioritizing education, health, and sports.


District Collector A. Mallikarjuna shared that an impressive 1,34,398 individuals, including 55,913 girls, have registered for the sports extravaganza.

With 247 grounds prepared across 607 Sachivalayam limits, the events will unfold at the Sachivalayam, Mandal, constituency, district, and State levels, with the State-level competitions scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam.

Simultaneously, IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath inaugurated 'Aadudam Andhra' at NTR grounds in Anakapalli. Joining him were Anakapalli MP B. Satyavathi, District Collector P. Ravi Subhash, and other dignitaries.

Minister Amarnath expressed that such an extensive sports event has not been witnessed in any other state, encouraging the youth to maximize their participation in the program.

Collector Ravi Subhash outlined that the Anakapalli event will feature competitions in cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, basketball, and volleyball.

A substantial 1,31,041 participants have registered for the Anakapalli leg, with the district administration preparing 14,098 teams for the spirited competition.
