In a heartening display of alumni commitment, the Andhra University Engineering College (AUEC) Alumni Association convened their 9th meeting at the esteemed Dr. YVS Murty Auditorium.

During this gathering, the association proudly handed over a newly constructed hostel block to the university, marking a significant contribution of ₹3.7 crore.

The chief guest, Y. Sreenivasa Rao, Director General (NS&M) at DRDO, Visakhapatnam, commended the altruistic efforts of the alumni.

In an encouraging gesture, he expressed willingness to assist in establishing an Incubator Centre on the university campus.

Furthermore, Rao urged the alumni to actively engage in the developmental initiatives for the Sea Corridor along the Visakhapatnam coastline.

K. Samatha, the in-charge vice-chancellor of Andhra University, extended her appreciation to the alumni for their invaluable contribution.

The ceremony witnessed esteemed speakers, including former vice-chancellors of AU, Bela Satyanarayana and G.S.N Raju, as well as former director of IIPE V.S.R.K Prasad and Major General S.S. Dasaka—distinguished alumni who shared their insights and reflections on the occasion.
