Plastic Flexi Banners are officially banned in AP w.e.f November 1, 2022



On September 22, 2022, the state government released an official notification under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 regarding banning the use of plastic flexi banners in the state.

 


Manufacturing and import of plastic flexi material; printing of plastic flexies; use, transport, and display of any type of plastic flexi banners are all banned in Andhra Pradesh from November 1, 2022. They should now be replaced with cloth ones.

Any violator will be fined Rs 100 per sq ft of banned plastic flexi banners. Respective enforcement authorities will have full authority to seize them and send them for scientific disposal at the expense of the violators.
Violators will also be liable for prosecution under the Environment (Protection) Act of 1986.
