Priyam Tated, Visakhapatnam skater wins silver medal in Rome Cup 2022 International Skating Championship



Priyam Tated, a 17-year-old skater from Visakhapatnam who won laurels for India by winning gold and silver medals in various international and national events, has set sights by bagging a silver medal at the international skating championship.

Pritam started skating when he was just three years old. He got interested towards getting into skating as he used to watch practise sessions of his sister Divya Tate. His sister is his inspiration shares Priyam, a class-IX student of a private school in Vizag city.

Priyam Tated bagged a Silver Medal in the Rome International Trophy, in Rome, Italy held from 17 to 20 Feb 2022, taking his international medals tally for India to a total of 8. 

Priyam was invited to the Indian Embassy of Italy in Rome, and celebrated his victory for India, with the Ambassador, Dr. Neena Malhotra.


He dreams to emerge as a world champion and to clinch medals in Olympics as there are chances to include skating in Olympics-2024.

 Priyam has played in the 18th Asian Roller Skating Championships 2018 held at Namwon, Korea, Asian Open Figure skating Championship 2018 held at Bangkok, secured gold medal in 2018 Cambodia National Figure Skating Championship and bronze medal in Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy in Hong Kong, silver medal in 17th Asian Roller Skating Championship in 2016 held in China, gold medal in Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy 2016 held at Manila, Philippines, silver medal in 11th Malaysia Open National Figure Skating Championship and bronze medal in ISU World Development Trophy heldat Malaysia in 2015

Priyam’s twin brother Pratham Tated is also an international skater.
