The Visakhapatnam region of APSRTC has temporarily cancelled around 170 bus services as a precautionary measure following heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions associated with the deep depression affecting North Andhra. The decision comes amid reduced passenger movement and difficult road conditions in several parts of the city.

According to Visakhapatnam Regional Manager B. Appala Naidu, around 50 services operating on routes including RK Beach, Scindia and Gajuwaka have been cancelled. Another 120 services, including AC buses operating on long-distance routes, have also been temporarily suspended.

 

APSRTC officials are reviewing bus operations based on weather and road conditions, with passenger safety being a key consideration as heavy rain continues to affect the region.
