Sad Demise of 20-Year-Old Female Sloth Bear at Vizag Zoo

Visakhapatnam: The Vizag zoo is mourning the loss of a beloved 20-year-old female sloth bear named Divya.
Born in the zoo in 2003, Divya passed away due to chronic renal failure, according to the postmortem report provided by the veterinary assistant surgeon at the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam.
In the wild, sloth bears typically have an average lifespan of around 15 to 20 years. The zoo currently cares for two more sloth bears as part of its animal collection.
