Safety Works Lead to Cancellation of Six Trains from July 31 to August 6



In order to facilitate crucial safety works in the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway (SCR), six trains plying between Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada will be cancelled from July 31 to August 6.

This decision aims to ensure the well-being and security of passengers during the maintenance and improvement activities.

The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, A.K. Tripathi, from Waltair Division, released a statement informing the public about the upcoming cancellations. The following train services are affected during this period:

 


Train No. 17267: Kakinada-Visakhapatnam Passenger Special
Train No. 17268: Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Passenger Special
Train No. 07466: Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam Passenger Special
Train No. 07467: Visakhapatnam-Rajahmundry Passenger Special
Train No. 22701: Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Uday Express
Train No. 22702: Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Uday Express

The safety works scheduled during this period are of paramount importance, as they involve critical maintenance and upgrades to ensure the reliable and secure operation of train services. To accommodate these works effectively, the cancellation of the aforementioned trains has been deemed necessary.

Passengers planning to travel on these routes during the specified dates are advised to note the changes in the train schedule and make appropriate adjustments to their travel plans. Alternate travel arrangements should be made to avoid any inconvenience during this period.

The South Central Railway (SCR) urges the travelling public to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the safety guidelines. Passengers' understanding and cooperation will contribute significantly to the successful completion of the safety works, enabling the resumption of normal train services after August 6.

The railway authorities are committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services and express their gratitude for the public's cooperation during this essential period of safety works. Regular train services will resume after the designated period, ensuring a secure and seamless travel experience for all passengers.
