All this and more could not have been possible, without the hard work and dedication of our staff and officers in the line of duty”
Apart from running more than 400 special trains during the year, the Waltair division also provided passengers with amenities like lifts and escalators in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Rayagada. New initiatives like pre-paid ac waiting lounges, One station One product stall EV charging points are being set up in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Duvvada.
Putting speculation to rest, Mr. Anup Satpathy confirmed that the Head Quarters of the South Coast Railway Zone will establish at Wireless Colony. Towards this end, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav along with the Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board visited the proposed site.
The Blueprint for the construction of a world-class office complex is under preparation. Also, it is learnt that the architect for the zonal office has also been finalized. The appointment of the architect is seen as one step closer to the railway zone functioning. Construction of the zonal office will commence once the designs are completed by the architect.
