The City of Destiny is all set for G20

Vizag is all set for G20 summit meetings. Around 160 crores have been spent on city beautification works in Vizag for the G20 summit meetings. The beautification works have been carried out on a permanent basis, meaning they will continue to improve the city's infrastructure and aesthetics even after the summit meetings are over. They are expected to enhance the overall aesthetics and infrastructure of Vizag, making it more attractive.

The city beautification works carried out in Vizag for the G20 summit meetings include newly laid 46 km of BT roads, footpath development covering a length of 10 kilometers, G20-themed mural painting works covering 24 kilometers depicting the theme of the G20 summit meetings, newly developed beach viewpoints, etc. The Seethakonda Beach Viewpoint, called YSR Viewpoint named after former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was also inaugurated by state ministers on Sunday. The city has seen an increase in green cover with the planting of trees and shrubs.

International delegates arriving in Vizag for the G20 summit meetings will be given a glimpse of the culture and heritage of the state at the airport itself before they venture out into the city. This may include showcasing traditional art forms, handicrafts, and other cultural aspects of the state. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to participate in a gala dinner that is being arranged for the international delegates on March 28. This is likely to be an opportunity for the Chief Minister to interact with the international delegates.

In addition to this, several Jan Bhagidari events were conducted in Visakhapatnam on Sunday ahead of the summit meetings. A marathon run in 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km categories was conducted on the RK beach road, which was flagged off by Health Minister V Rajini, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development A Suresh, and IT and Industries Minister G Amarnath, and it witnessed the participation of hundreds of people from different walks of life. The Vizag Carnival held at RK Beach in the evening saw a huge footfall of visitors and became a grand success.
