Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Visakhapatnam
Yatra's aim to raise awareness about the Central Government's initiatives and schemes.
1)The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra kicked off in Ward 61 of Zone-V of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
Solomon Arokiaraj, Joint Secretary of the Union Finance Department, inaugurated the event at Maridimamba Kalyana Mandapam in Malkapuram.
Joined by GVMC officials and State BJP leaders, Arokiaraj highlighted the awareness of schemes and initiatives.
2)Focus on Ujwala Scheme of providing free LPG connections
During the event, K. Surendra Mohan, State BJP Secretary, emphasized the significance of the Ujwala scheme, under which the Central Government is providing free LPG connections to 11 crore people nationwide.
Mohan noted that each connection, valued at ₹7,000, is part of the government's ongoing efforts.
3)Government has been undertaking this programme for the last 60 days.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serves as a platform to disseminate information about various programs and schemes initiated by the Central Government.
Through such events, the government aims to engage with citizens and ensure the effective implementation of development initiatives across the country.
