His noteworthy achievement comes with the International Avant-Garde Film Award for his short film 'Standoff,' scheduled to be presented to him in New York on December 14. Adding to his success, his film 'Whispers in the Wind' has garnered critical acclaim.

A graduate in engineering from Gayatri Vidya Parishad (GVP) Engineering College in Visakhapatnam, Praveen furthered his education with an MS in computer engineering in the USA.

His passion for filmmaking blossomed during his time in the United States, particularly through his involvement in a 24-hour short filmmaking competition at an independent filmmaker coalition in Kansas City.

Presently on a visit to Visakhapatnam, Praveen shared, “I am working on the production of a feature film titled 'Missing' and shooting blog videos.”

In a short span of nine years, Praveen has crafted ten short films predominantly in English. Additionally, he created a web series called 'Journey,' released on YouTube, which received a positive response. His accolades include awards from the California Film Festival, Detroit Windsor International Film Festival, and the Reel to Reel International Film Festival in North Carolina.

Praveen's filmmaking style is characterized by a fusion of traditional storytelling and modern aesthetics. His films delve into the intricacies of human relationships and societal issues, offering a fresh perspective on familiar themes.

Beyond filmmaking, Praveen engages in stand-up comedy in New York and explores video blogging, another storytelling form gaining popularity.

Expressing his inspiration from directors like Alfred Hitchcock to Shyam Benegal, Praveen envisions Visakhapatnam as an ideal destination for future film and web series projects, highlighting his plans to shoot in the city.
