Visakhapatnam Hosts Awareness Rally Against Drug Abuse

In an effort to raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse and to encourage the public to avoid such substances, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched the "Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan" campaign. As part of this initiative, a significant awareness rally was organized on Beach Road on Saturday morning by district authorities.
District Collector M.N. Harendhir Prasad and Commissioner of Police Shankhabrata Bagchi attended the event as chief guests, inaugurating the rally with the flag-off.
They called upon the youth to steer clear of drug use and to take proactive steps towards securing a bright future.
The rally saw participation from officials and staff from various departments, including Social Welfare, BC Welfare, Education, Law, Revenue, and Police, as well as students from several colleges.
