Visakhapatnam City Police carried out surprise raids at 69 resorts across the city as part of an enforcement and monitoring exercise. The inspections covered resorts in different parts of the city and its outskirts, where police examined compliance with applicable permissions and safety requirements.

The action follows increased police attention towards resorts in areas such as Pendurthi, Anandapuram and Bheemili. Police had earlier initiated a wider review of resorts, including their permissions, security arrangements and operational practices.

 

The inspections are part of efforts by the city police to monitor activities at such establishments and identify violations requiring further action. Any action against individual resorts would depend on the findings of the inspections and applicable laws.
