Visakhapatnam to Host 28th National Conference on e-Governance in June 2025

Visakhapatnam is set to become the focal point of India’s digital transformation journey as it hosts the prestigious 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) on June 9–10, 2025, at Novotel, Vizag. The event is being jointly organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The conference, which brings together thought leaders, policymakers, technocrats, and innovators from across the country, aims to promote effective use of digital platforms for governance and citizen services. This year’s edition will focus on leveraging emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and big data to enhance transparency, efficiency, and inclusiveness in public service delivery.

Andhra Pradesh’s selection as the host state reflects the government’s emphasis on fostering digital growth in tier-2 cities and its recognition of Visakhapatnam as an emerging hub for IT and governance reforms. The event is expected to see the participation of senior officials from central and state governments, industry leaders, and academic experts, alongside exhibitions and breakout sessions on best practices and case studies.

The NCeG has been instrumental in shaping India’s e-governance policies, showcasing innovations such as digital land records, smart policing, Aadhaar-enabled services, and citizen-centric mobile apps. As it enters its 28th edition, the conference continues to evolve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation.

For Visakhapatnam, hosting this national event is not just a matter of pride but also an opportunity to strengthen its position on the national digital map, fostering new investments and partnerships in the IT and governance ecosystem.
