Visakhapatnam’s Sruthi Ragamai Wins Gold Medal at IIT BHU Convocation



Visakhapatnam: Ms. Sruthi Ragamai from Visakhapatnam was awarded the Gold Medal at the 13th Convocation of IIT BHU, Varanasi, by Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan. Sruthi is among the few female students from South India to achieve this honor in B.Tech, and the only one from the Telugu states. 

A consistent top performer, Sruthi completed her primary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya-I, Marripalem, Visakhapatnam, and studied at FIITJEE, Dwarakanagar, for her Intermediate. 


She joined IIT BHU to pursue Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, excelling not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities and sports. A lover of classical music, she trained under her mother and Guru, Smt. Anantha Lakshmi, earning numerous awards in music while at university. Sruthi also achieved Gold and Silver medals in various sports and was awarded the prestigious DAAD-WISE scholarship from Germany for an internship at TU Braunschweig in Lower Saxony.
