The Visakhapatnam Port and Tourism Department are dedicated to making Vizag a prime destination for international tourists and cruise ship operators. 

Stakeholders in the tourism industry believe that introducing an e-Visa facility at the Visakhapatnam port will significantly enhance the appeal for international visitors. 

In a bid to further attract tourists, the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) plans to construct a ‘people prominence centre’ near the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, adjacent to the Port channel.

This project, estimated to cost ₹18 crore, aims to provide a welcoming space for visitors.

Additionally, short circuit tours to nearby tourist attractions will be launched to offer a comprehensive experience to international tourists.

The overarching goal is to draw international tourists by developing new facilities, improving basic amenities at existing tourist spots, and positioning Vizag as an attractive destination for international cruise operators.

These efforts are geared towards making Vizag a prominent port of call on the global tourism map.
