1,500 Devotees Participate in Annual Teppotsavam Festival at Simhachalam

The annual Teppotsavam (Float Festival) was celebrated with religious fervour at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam, Visakhapatnam, drawing nearly 1,500 devotees. The festival is one of the temple's important annual religious events, attracting devotees from different parts of Andhra Pradesh who gather to witness the ceremonial procession of the deities.

As part of the celebrations, the temple deities were taken in a grand procession before being placed on a beautifully decorated ceremonial float that sailed across the temple tank. Priests performed traditional rituals, Vedic chants, and special prayers throughout the event, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere for devotees.

Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for crowd management, security, sanitation, and other essential facilities to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival. Devotees participated with devotion, offering prayers and seeking blessings during the sacred occasion.

The Teppotsavam is an important part of Simhachalam Temple's annual religious calendar and reflects the region's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The successful celebration of the festival once again highlighted the temple's significance as one of Andhra Pradesh's most revered pilgrimage destinations.
