5 young players to watch out for in the second half of IPL 2021
The much awaited IPL 2021 is finally ready to resume its 14th season and there’s literally nothing we would rather want. IPL 2021 has started back in April and due to the rise in covid cases in the country, the season has been paused. The second half of the season is all set to come back with a bang with some really amazing talent, this time from the grounds of UAE. IPL has never lacked in encouraging young talent and the youngsters do really play an important role in the game. Hence, there are a few youngsters in this season of IPL which you have to watch out for
1. Devdutt Padikkal (RCB)
Ever since the IPL 2020, Devdutt has been the biggest flex to the Royal Challengers Bangalore as this young lad did an exceptional job with his bat ever since day one. Back to back half centuries and being awarded the Emerging player of the year 2020, the player raised the standards of our expectations for this season of IPL. In the first half of IPL 2021, his very first century in his career was definitely a moment to watch and celebrate. All in all, there’s a lot in the store for us from his end in this installment.
2. Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK)
A young addition to the Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad, did a decent job in IPL 2020 and made his mark in the team. So far in IPL 2021, his performance has been drastically improved with a lot more consistency and efficiency. Ruturaj has been doing quite justice to his position as an opener with a good strike rate throughout. With a few half centuries, he made an impact in this season and the audience are sure that this is not the end. Ruturaj Gaikwad is surely going to be the key player for Chennai Super Kings.
3. Mujeeb Ur Rahman (SRH)
Afghanistan’s most valuable spinner, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, is considered to be an important addition to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, as after Rashid Khan, Mujeeb might be a key spinner in the team. Though had a rough couple of matches, the audience still have high expectations of this player for his experience in T20 cricket. Mujeeb might be a good inclusion in the squad for the UAE grounds and hence, lets just count days to see his stellar performance with the ball.
4. Riyan Parag (RR)
Riyan Parag has been doing brilliant work with the bat as well as with the ball. Though didn’t really stand out in the squad, he did play with at most efficiency during crucial situations and saved the team. This young lad holds the record of youngest player to score a half century in IPL. Being an all-rounder, he did keep up to his team’s ability and definitely became an added asset to the Rajasthan Royals. The best of him is yet to come in the second half of IPL 2021 and by now you already know that he’s going to shine in the near future.
5. Ravi Bishnoi (PBKS)
One of the most valuable bowlers for the Punjab Kings, Ravi Bishnoi, was the highest wicket-taker in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament and made a huge bowling impact in the IPL 2020. He plays a crucial role when it comes to the losing situation of the team, by taking important wickets and breakthroughs at the right time of the game. He’s undoubtedly the best pick by the Punjab Kings and a much needed one. This year, Ravi Bishnoi is highly expected to do exceptionally well with his spin balls throughout the season.
